Ochsner Health Baton Rouge is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Adult Reconstruction Orthopedic surgeon to join its growing orthopedics practice, with a focus on hip and knee arthroplasty. The successful candidate will work with orthopedic and sports medicine surgeons, primary care sports medicine physicians, and advanced practice providers across multiple sites in the Greater Baton Rouge area. The main practice sites include Ochsner Baton Rouge – O’Neal and The Grove, with the option to rotate to suburban clinics. The practice includes a multidisciplinary orthopedics department with other orthopedic subspecialties and primary care sports medicine physicians, a walk-in clinic with seven-day access, voluntary paid-stipend call, and a newly expanded hospital outpatient surgical center with overnight-stay capability. The group has strong referral channels and satellite locations serving outlying communities. Demand for hip and knee arthroplasty exceeds current availability. The organization is open to purchasing Mako or similar robotic and navigation technology. Fellowship training in hip and knee arthroplasty is strongly preferred. Ochsner describes itself as a physician-led organization that offers an integrated, multispecialty care model, an internal referral network, and resources to support patient care. EPIC is used throughout the health system. Candidates should exhibit values consistent with Ochsner Health’s mission to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate.
