Ochsner Health Baton Rouge is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Adult Reconstruction Orthopedic surgeon specializing in total joint care. The physician will join a busy, growing orthopedics practice serving the Greater Baton Rouge area, with the primary practice sites at Ochsner Baton Rouge – O’Neal and The Grove, and the option to rotate to suburban clinics. The practice includes orthopedic subspecialties, primary care sports medicine physicians, and advanced practice providers, with multiple sites and strong referral channels serving outlying communities. Demand for hip and knee arthroplasty exceeds current availability. The practice has a walk-in clinic with seven-day access and an expanded hospital outpatient surgical center with overnight-stay capability. Call is voluntary and paid by stipend. The organization is open to purchasing Mako or similar robotic and navigation technology. The orthopedics and sports medicine program has grown substantially in recent years and seeks continued programmatic and specialty development. Candidates should demonstrate values consistent with Ochsner Health’s mission to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate. Fellowship training in hip and knee arthroplasty is strongly preferred. Ochsner offers a physician-led, integrated health care environment with multispecialty collaboration, internal referrals, and resources to support patient care. The position also offers opportunities in teaching, research, physician leadership, and community service. EPIC is used throughout the health system.
