About The Position
WVUHS Medical Group seeks an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Physician to join their multidisciplinary orthopedic team. The successful candidate will practice primarily in Martinsburg, WV. This role involves the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sports-related injuries, with advanced training in minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures, complex ligament reconstructions, cartilage restoration, and comprehensive care of athletes and active individuals of all ages.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Completed an ACGME-accredited orthopedic sports medicine fellowship.
- Board-certified/eligible in orthopedic surgery.
- Active or eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in West Virginia.
- Demonstrated surgical expertise and experience in arthroscopic and reconstructive sports medicine procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with competitive athletes, professional teams, or sports programs.
- Interest in research, innovation, or academic teaching in sports medicine.
- Familiarity with the latest advancements in biologics, cartilage restoration, and minimally invasive techniques.
