Currently we have an opportunity for an Occupational Health / Occupational Medicine Physician Consultant to join our team in Kelowna, BC. The ideal candidate enjoys developing rapport with clients. You are confident about your competency in clinical evaluation and documentation with good writing skills. Lifemark Harvey Avenue is a large multidisciplinary physiotherapy facility providing a full rehabilitation gym and private treatment rooms for Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Kinesiologists, Clinical Counsellors, and Psychologists. We treat a broad range of musculoskeletal disorders resulting from work-related accidents, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, and other sprains strains.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine, licensed to practice in BC
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC
- Current personal liability & malpractice insurance
- 5 years' experience as a treating Physician
- Experience assessing/treating concussions
Nice To Haves
- Completion of courses in Occupational Medicine (Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine or American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine) or (Certified Independent Medical Examiner) an asset
- Sports Medicine Diploma an asset
Responsibilities
- Medical Assessment services
- Multidisciplinary Concussion management program
- Pre-employment testing
- Completion of employment medicals to ensure safety for work
- Provide second medical opinions to clarify diagnosis and specify rehabilitation recommendations
- Delivering medical examinations within an interdisciplinary team framework
