About The Position
Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Upper Extremity Joint Reconstruction to join our orthopedic team in Sacramento, CA. This position focuses on complex shoulder and elbow reconstruction, including primary and revision arthroplasty procedures. The physician will work alongside hand surgeons, sports medicine specialists, and rehabilitation providers to deliver comprehensive upper extremity care in a collaborative environment. The opportunity offers access to state-of-the-art surgical facilities, advanced imaging, and a robust referral network throughout Northern California.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery or Upper Extremity Reconstruction
- Commitment to collaborative patient care and clinical excellence
Nice To Haves
- Experience with complex shoulder and elbow arthroplasty preferred
- Interest in education and program development preferred
Responsibilities
- Focus on complex shoulder and elbow reconstruction, including primary and revision arthroplasty procedures.
- Deliver comprehensive upper extremity care in a collaborative environment.
- Engage in teaching, research, leadership, community outreach, and volunteer work (as part of SMG's clinician engagement).
