About The Position

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Board Eligible/Board Certified Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon to join their growing Orthopedics and Sports Medicine program in Sacramento, CA. This is a unique opportunity to be part of Sutter Health's flagship Orthopedics and Sports Medicine destination center, a 120,000-square-foot, four-story facility designed as a comprehensive musculoskeletal care hub. The program will provide care for athletes at all levels, from youth and high school sports to collegiate, professional, and recreational athletes throughout Northern California. The position offers a broad sports medicine practice with opportunities to build relationships with schools, athletic organizations, and community partners. Physicians will collaborate closely with primary care sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedic subspecialists, and advanced practice providers in a highly integrated, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Sports Medicine fellowship.
Interest in team coverage, community outreach, and athlete care.
Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered and collaborative care.

Sports Medicine CAQ certification or eligibility preferred.
