About The Position

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and Department of Community Practice are seeking a hand surgeon (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) to practice at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV. The successful candidate will practice in the area of hand surgery. As a full member of the health system, Camden Clark is part of a broad, integrated network of doctors, hospitals, clinics, and specialized institutes across West Virginia, Southwestern Pennsylvania, Western Maryland, and Ohio. The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia’s largest health system and the state’s largest employer. The System has undergone significant expansion in specialty and sub-specialty care in areas such as cancer, heart and vascular, and neuroscience, among many others. The Health System operates West Virginia’s first and only multi-organ transplant center, and opened a new, 150-bed Children’s Hospital in September 2022. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
  • Eligible for state medical license
  • Completed orthopaedic surgery residency
  • Completed hand surgery fellowship
  • Board certified/eligible in Orthopaedic surgery
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
