About The Position

Bon Secours – St. Francis Downtown is seeking locum coverage for Medical Oncology at a free-standing cancer center. This position is to cover a loss of provider. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The practice consists of 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology. There are currently 7 physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in the practice. The average number of patients per day in the outpatient setting is 25, and for hospital call/rounding, it is 20. The clinical area is Oncology, covering both outpatient and inpatient settings. The documentation system used is EPIC. Required duties include participation in a Tumor Board, management of Bone Marrow Transplants, Blood Bank, ordering tests and images, and prescribing chemotherapy. The estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days. The facility will reimburse for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at the IRS standard rate.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
• Active SC license (will accept providers needing to obtain a state license)
• BLS & DEA
• Clean background required for Emergency temps
• Current NPDB required for presentation Trio
