About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE OBGYN physician to join their well-established and growing women’s health team at Marshfield Medical Center - Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This position is for a full-time Laborist, fulfilling an annual requirement of 88 shifts (24 hours) per year. The role involves providing full-spectrum Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Urogynecology health care services in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include inpatient call coverage with 24-hour shifts and utilizing the DaVinci Xi robot. Physicians are encouraged to participate in medical education and research.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
  • Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways and should be reflective of the privileges being requested: An applicant who has just completed residency shall provide their residency procedure log and a list of completed rotations, as applicable. OR An applicant who is not applying directly out of a residency shall provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the last 12 months, including numbers of procedures morbidity, mortality, infection rates and other complications.
  • The applicant must be able to demonstrate competence and adequate volumes of experience to include 50 deliveries (including 5 cesarean sections) and 25 gynecological surgical procedures (if applicable to privileges requested) in the last 12 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than the ACGME, AOA or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process as defined in the Credentialing Policy.
  • More education and experience may be required the more advanced the practice becomes.

  • Admit (if applicable to the setting), evaluate, diagnose, consult and provide pre-, intra- and postoperative care necessary to correct or treat female patients of all ages presenting with injuries and disorders of the female reproductive system and the genitourinary system and nonsurgical treatment disorders and injuries of the mammary glands.
