About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Obstetric and Gynecology physician to join their well-established OB/GYN Care team in Williston, North Dakota. The physician will join 2 OB/GYNs and 2 advanced practice providers who are the premiere OB providers in the city and surrounding area. The clinic is adjacent to the hospital (CHI Medical Center) and offers a 1:5 shared community call schedule. The clinic is equipped with 15 exam rooms, ultrasound, and lab services. Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
  • Demonstrate competence and adequate volumes of experience to include 50 deliveries (including 5 cesarean sections) and 25 gynecological surgical procedures (if applicable to privileges requested) in the last 12 months.
  • For applicants not applying directly out of residency, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the last 12 months, including numbers of procedures, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.
  • For applicants who have just completed residency, provide their residency procedure log and a list of completed rotations, as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination.
  • Admit patients (if applicable to the setting).
  • Evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide pre-, intra-, and postoperative care necessary to correct or treat female patients of all ages presenting with injuries and disorders of the female reproductive system and the genitourinary system.
  • Provide nonsurgical treatment for disorders and injuries of the mammary glands.
