About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE OBGYN physician to join their well-established and growing women’s health team at Marshfield Medical Center - Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This position is a full-time Laborist role, requiring an annual commitment of 88 shifts (24 hours each). The physician will provide full-spectrum Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Urogynecology healthcare services in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include inpatient call coverage with 24-hour shifts and utilizing the DaVinci Xi robot. The role also encourages involvement in medical education and research.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • Applicants not board certified at the time of application but who have completed residency within the last five years must achieve board certification within five years from the date of residency completion unless waived.
  • Demonstrate competence and adequate volumes of experience to include 50 deliveries (including 5 cesarean sections) and 25 gynecological surgical procedures (if applicable to privileges requested) in the last 12 months.
  • For applicants not applying directly out of residency, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including numbers of procedures, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.
  • For applicants who have just completed residency, provide their residency procedure log and a list of completed rotations, as applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination for gynecologic core privileges.
  • Admit patients if applicable to the setting.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide pre-, intra-, and postoperative care for female patients with injuries and disorders of the female reproductive system and genitourinary system.
  • Provide nonsurgical treatment for disorders and injuries of the mammary glands.
  • Provide inpatient call coverage with 24-hour shifts.
  • Utilize the DaVinci Xi robot.
  • Be involved in medical education and research.
