About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a BC/BE OBGYN - Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join an established team in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The role involves providing full-spectrum Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Urogynecology healthcare services in a collaborative environment. The facility features a modern labor and delivery area, with clinic, hospital, and ASC attached, and includes a Da Vinci XI Robot. Physicians are encouraged to participate in medical education and research.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program and Fellowship program in Maternal-Fetal Medicine accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • Applicants not board certified at the time of application but who have completed residency training within the last five years must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless waived.
  • Demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the past 24 months including the management of 25 deliveries or procedures (examples amniocentesis, c-sections) with satisfactory quality data.
  • If just completed fellowship, provide fellowship logs.
  • If not applying directly out of fellowship, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where currently have privileges showing clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.
  • If a quality profile is not available, documentation of hospital-based clinical activity for the past 24 months is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Training at residency and fellowship programs accredited by organizations other than ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada may be considered by the Credentials Committee; Physician Executive or Medical Affairs Committee; and the Board of Directors or the Board of Governors.
  • More education and experience may be required for more advanced practice.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination for adolescent and adult female patients with multiple gestation pregnancies (3 or more) and medical and surgical complications of pregnancy.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, provide consultation, and treat patients with complications such as maternal cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic, and connective tissue disorders, and fetal malformations, conditions, or disease.
  • Be involved in medical education and research.
