About The Position

The Maternal/Fetal Medicine Physician provides onsite maternal-fetal medicine services and consultation. This role involves performing and interpreting level 2/targeted obstetrical ultrasound services and fetal monitoring tests, as well as managing and modifying therapies for high-risk pregnancies. The physician will collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care, accurately document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely manner, and adhere to the standards for The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation and Client guidelines. Participation in the hospital's Quality Improvement Program and adherence to the policies, bylaws, and procedures of PIMC are also expected. The role requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including Native American communities, and proficiency in diagnosing and managing complex maternal and fetal conditions. The physician will conduct detailed family and medical history assessments, physical exams, and selective laboratory tests.

Requirements

  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited residency in internal medicine or obstetrics and gynecology with fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. New residency graduates with significant experience may be considered.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and managing complex maternal and fetal conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including Native American communities.
