About The Position

MaineHealth Obstetrics and Gynecology, part of MaineHealth Franklin Hospital, is seeking a per diem BC/BE OB/GYN in Farmington, Maine. The physician will join a well-established practice of four physicians and one Certified Nurse Midwife. This full-scope OB/GYN practice includes office care, operating-room work, and obstetrics. The position has an academic affiliation with Maine Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine, with opportunities to teach residents and medical students.

As a Level 1 Maternal Center and the only inpatient facility in Franklin County, the rural practice serves the local community with support from a statewide health system. Franklin Hospital delivers approximately 250 babies annually. The practice offers collaborative colleagues, strong patient-provider relationships, comprehensive resources and advanced technologies, an integrated Epic EMR, and access to subspecialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, and Urogynecology.

MaineHealth is a not-for-profit integrated health system with approximately 22,000 care team members. Its services include nine local health systems, a behavioral health care network, diagnostic services, home health agencies, and 1,700 employed clinicians working through the MaineHealth Medical Group. It provides preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment to 1.1 million residents in Maine and New Hampshire.

The position pays $228.00 to $270.00 per hour and may qualify for shift differentials based on eligibility. MaineHealth describes Farmington as a scenic, affordable community with four-season recreation, nearby lakes and mountains, local schools, housing options, and access to ski resorts.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an OB/GYN residency program.
• ABOG board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN.

Responsibilities
