About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for an OB/GYN physician. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, including prenatal care, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections. The physician will work Monday to Friday, with dedicated time for patient care and clinic duties. Night and weekend call responsibilities are also part of the role. The position utilizes the Cerner EHR system and requires collaboration with Nurse Practitioners. The assignment is set to begin in August and conclude by December 31, 2026.

Requirements

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
• Active Michigan medical license.
• A minimum of 2 years clinical experience in OB/GYN.
• NPDB check must be completed within the last 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive prenatal care.
• Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections (C-sections).
• Manage patients requiring vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).
• Conduct patient care for 8 hours per day.
• Perform clinic duties for up to 6 hours per day.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage on weekends.
• Handle night call responsibilities.
• Collaborate with 2 Nurse Practitioners.
