About The Position

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to join our growing academic faculty within the Department of Radiology. Requirements

  • MD or DO (or equivalent)
  • ABR board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Completion of a nuclear medicine fellowship or ABR subspecialty certification
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri

Responsibilities

  • Interpret a broad spectrum of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging studies, including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, general nuclear medicine, and theranostic imaging
  • Participate in and expand a growing theranostics program, including diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceutical applications for oncology and other disease processes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, endocrinology, neurology, cardiology, and other specialties through integrated tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences
  • Practice with state-of-the-art imaging technology, advanced radiopharmaceuticals, and dedicated technologist, nursing, pharmacy, and physics support in a highly efficient clinical environment
  • Faculty appointment commensurate with qualifications and academic interests, offering involvement in resident and fellow education as well as opportunities to pursue research or advance clinical programs
