About The Position

Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants is seeking a skilled and passionate Non-invasive Cardiologist to join our esteemed team in Springfield, Illinois. As a nationally recognized leader in Cardiac care, we offer an opportunity for a dedicated physician to provide cutting-edge care to patients with complex cardiac conditions while collaborating with a team of top-tier cardiologists and surgeons. This role involves outreach clinic responsibilities and offers a high volume of patients within a very active clinical research program, serving as a Platinum research site and Center of Training for Boston Scientific. The position utilizes the EPIC EMR system and includes collaboration with 5 EP providers and 16 Cardiologists and Interventional Cardiologists, under the direction of EP Director Dr. Ziad Issa.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted Illinois medical license and DEA (prior to start)
  • BE/BC in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients
  • Licensed physician in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty
  • Successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program
  • Board certified or board eligible
  • Clinical doctorate
