About The Position
West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurology are recruiting a neurologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor) for United Hospital Center. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Bridgeport, WV. The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, located on our main campus in Morgantown, WV, is improving lives by pioneering advances in brain health. As a full member of the WVU Health System, United Hospital Center is part of a broad, integrated network of doctors, hospitals, clinics, and specialized institutes across West Virginia, Southwestern Pennsylvania, Western Maryland, and Ohio. The 692,000-square-foot structure rises eight stories. It is designed around the environment with the patient, family, staff, and community in mind – which includes enhanced patient privacy, a high level of technology integration, and improved access to care. The acute care facility has 292 private inpatient rooms with a medical staff that consist of more than 381 physicians and providers.
Requirements
- Must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure.
- Successful candidate must have completed a Neurology residency program.
- Must be board certified/eligible in Neurology.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
- Practice in the area of neurology primarily in the outpatient setting.
