About The Position

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Neurology in the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute seek a Movement Disorders Neurologist. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Canonsburg, PA, and will be involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Candidates will join an active multidisciplinary team for collaboration in patient care, research, and education. The WVU Department of Neurology offers innovative approaches including DBS, injections, medications, MR-guided focused ultrasound, rehabilitation, and speech therapy. The Southpointe clinic is conveniently located near several WVU Health System hospitals and within driving distance of the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute Innovation Center.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed neurology residency program.
  • Completed movement disorders fellowship program.
  • Board certified/eligible in neurology and movement disorders.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the areas of neurology and movement disorders.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
