Physician, Neurology - Headache Medicine (San Francisco, CA)
About The Position
Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time BC/BE Adult Headache Neurologist to join their multispecialty neurology group. The candidate will work with a team of Headache specialists to build a comprehensive Headache program, seeing a broad range of referrals. The specialized headache program focuses on comprehensive longitudinal care in both outpatient and telemedicine settings. Physicians perform procedures such as Botox, occipital nerve blocks, and SPG blocks. The Headache program is part of a larger neurology group with various specialists. There are regularly scheduled Neuroscience grand rounds and case conferences. The practice is located in a new medical office building across from CPMC Medical Center. The candidate may expand their focus to include outpatient Headache clinics in surrounding Bay Area communities, outpatient general neurology, inpatient consultations and call, clinical research through affiliation with the CPMC Neuroscience Research Institute, and teaching medical students and residents.
Requirements
- BC/BE Neurologist
- Fellowship and/or board certification in Headache Neurology
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of Headache specialists to continue building a comprehensive Headache program.
- See a broad range of referrals from within the group, the greater San Francisco medical community, the SF Bay Area, and the Sutter Northern CA network.
- Provide comprehensive longitudinal care in both outpatient and telemedicine settings.
- Perform procedures, including Botox, occipital nerve blocks, SPG blocks, etc.
- Expand focus of practice to include outpatient Headache clinic in surrounding Bay Area communities.
- Expand focus of practice to include outpatient general neurology.
- Expand focus of practice to include inpatient consultations and call.
- Expand focus of practice to include clinical research through affiliation with the CPMC Neuroscience Research Institute.
- Expand focus of practice to include teaching medical students and residents.
