About The Position

City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA is seeking a full-time neurologist at the Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor level to join the Department of Neurology at our Duarte, California, campus. This primarily clinical faculty position offers the opportunity to practice in a nationally recognized academic medical center while contributing to our mission to help people live longer, better, and more fully. The position is primarily a general neurology role with opportunities to develop a subspecialty focus as the division grows. The role may also include research, teaching, or administrative responsibilities depending on the candidate's interests and career goals. The neurologist will manage patients' neurologic complications of cancer and cancer therapy.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited educational institution
• Active or eligible for California medical license
• Board Certified or Eligible

Nice To Haves

• Experience caring for patients with hematologic or oncologic conditions and/or experience with EEG, EMG, or nerve conduction studies is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities consist of 1 week rotation of inpatient care rotating with 3-4 weeks of outpatient care.
• Outpatient responsibilities comprise approximately four to four and a half days per week and include consultations, follow-up visits, telehealth visits, and procedures such as Botox injections and EMG.
• Provide inpatient neurology coverage on a rotating schedule with the other neurologists in the division.
• Interpret neurodiagnostic studies, including EEG, rapid EEG, nerve conduction studies, EMG, and evoked potentials.
• Participate in the education of medical students and other learners.
• Manage patients’ neurologic complications of cancer and cancer therapy.

Benefits

• Base Salary Range: Assistant level: $215K–$230K | Associate level: $230K–$246K. The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.
