About The Position

Corewell Health Neurosciences Royalton, located in St. Joseph, Michigan, is seeking to add a passionate board certified or board eligible General Neurologist to their dedicated team. This is an outpatient position offering great work-life balance and close proximity to beautiful Lake Michigan. The role includes the opportunity to mentor and teach residents and medical students. Weekly Neuroscience Grand Rounds are offered, and CME is available. The team includes three neurologists and an advanced practitioner. A dedicated Neurohospitalist service provides inpatient coverage at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital. Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with over 250 beds, including a recent expansion creating over 260,000 square feet of new space. The hospital is a teaching hospital, hosting residencies and medical students. The community of St. Joseph, Michigan, is known as “The Riviera of the Midwest,” offering a picturesque setting with stunning lakeshore, sand dune formations, and a lush countryside. It boasts a small-town atmosphere with a vibrant economy, quality schools, and natural amenities, while also being only 90 miles from Chicago. Requirements

  • Doctorate
  • Graduate of approved Medical College
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Clinical experience
  • State of Michigan Physician (MD) or Osteopathic Physician (DO) license upon hire
  • DEA Registration upon hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) within 90 days
  • Adherence to MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirements if in an on-site or hybrid workplace category.

Nice To Haves

  • Board certified or board eligible General Neurologist
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA) upon hire (depending on age-appropriateness of patient population)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA) upon hire (depending on age-appropriateness of patient population)

Responsibilities

  • Provide general neurology care.
  • Mentor and teach residents and medical students.
  • Participate in Neuroscience Grand Rounds.
  • Provide outpatient neurology services.
  • Collaborate with a team of neurologists and an advanced practitioner.
  • Work with a dedicated Neurohospitalist service for inpatient coverage.
