About The Position

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute seek a Medical Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology/Imaging (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Charleston, WV. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites. The successful candidate will practice in the area of non-invasive cardiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows. Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for state medical licensure.
• Completed an internal medicine residency program.
• Completed a cardiovascular fellowship program.
• Board certified / eligible in cardiovascular disease.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the area of non-invasive cardiology.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Be actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows.
