About The Position

The Physician Liaison is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with physicians and key strategic partners in the market. This role involves regular visits to physician offices and hospitals to increase referrals, improve community outreach through partnerships with local organizations, and plan/attend educational programs for Company physicians. The liaison will adapt marketing plans to regional changes, develop marketing materials in conjunction with the Marketing Department, and provide territory analysis to leadership. They will also assist new physicians with practice building, coordinate event participation, research sponsorship opportunities, and manage local marketing efforts including budgeting and advertising. The role requires representing the Company in community outreach, preparing presentations, maintaining a CRM database, analyzing data for strategic insights, promoting new services, forecasting market trends, and submitting reports. Additionally, the liaison may be involved in training new Physician Liaisons and must adhere to all federal and state regulations regarding safety, HIPAA, and patient care, as well as company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Management, Healthcare, or related discipline is preferred.
  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.
  • Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.
  • Four (4) years of experience in oncology industry and/or medical outside sales.
  • Deep understanding of physician practice operations.
  • CRM experience.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies in a virtual working environment, fully utilizing technology and communication tools.
  • Proven ability to build and execute integrated business development plans across a geographic market.
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to influence both with and without authority.
  • Ability to relate to a wide variety of stakeholders and constituents by adapting interpersonal styles as needed.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
  • Strong customer service, responsive, attention to detail and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with physicians and key strategic partners.
  • Visit physician offices and hospitals regularly to increase referrals.
  • Improve community outreach by partnering with local organizations, community and hospital liaisons.
  • Plan, schedule, and attend dinners, meetings, and educational programs for Company physicians.
  • Adapt marketing plan to regional changes, including new physicians, insurance changes, and new service offerings.
  • Develop and implement regional marketing materials in conjunction with the Marketing Department.
  • Provide territory analysis to referral base management leadership, regional directors, senior vice president of operations, and AON practice physicians.
  • Assist new physicians in practice building by introducing them to key referrers and the local community.
  • Evaluate, coordinate, and attend all events where practice physicians are presenting and/or moderating.
  • Research and coordinate local sponsorship opportunities and present them to Company physicians.
  • Evaluate and oversee local marketing, including budgeting, planning, management, advertising placement, and sponsorship campaigns.
  • Represent the Company and manage all community outreach in territory, including non-profits.
  • Prepare presentations using marketing resource materials.
  • Develop and maintain accurate, current database(s) of industry contacts in CRM.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to identify competitive information, new call targets, and territory routing/planning.
  • Keep abreast of new offerings within the Company to promote new services.
  • Forecast anticipated market trends and submit timely reports to referral base management leadership.
  • Prepare required and/or requested status reports.
  • Participate in the onboarding and training of new Physician Liaisons after the probationary period.
  • Follow and adhere to all federal and state regulations regarding safety, HIPAA, and patient care.
  • Comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to patient care, patients’ rights, safety, billing, and collections.
  • Adhere to all Company and departmental policies and procedures.

Benefits

  • Pay Range: $55,598.40 - $97,739.20
