About The Position

The Physician Liaison is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication with the Marketing and Communications Department, physicians, clinics, and other departments. This role involves identifying new opportunities for community engagement and brand awareness to drive patient growth within an assigned territory. The liaison will visit a minimum of 50 accounts per week, including primary care physicians, specialists, and other referral sources. Key responsibilities include maintaining and updating referral programs and databases, collaborating with the contact center for patient scheduling, and assisting in the development and execution of special events and physician lecture programs. The role also requires managing a marketing/physician relations budget and promoting the organization within the medical community to foster partnerships and consistent referral patterns, ultimately meeting or exceeding departmental and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the field or related area.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, payers, patients and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of concepts of marketing, communications and public relations.
  • Knowledge of the health care field and orthopedics, neurology, physical therapy etc.
  • Knowledge of healthcare electronic medical records, Salesforce, CRM or comparable.
  • Skill in development and implementation of marketing lectures/talks.
  • Skill in promoting the organization in the community.
  • Skill in executing special events.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with the Marketing and Communications Department, physicians, clinics and other departments as required.
  • Responsible for searching out new and unique opportunities within assigned territory for community engagement and brand awareness resulting in new patient growth.
  • Visits a minimum of 50 accounts/24 hours per week within their assigned territory. Accounts include primary care physicians, specialists, and other referral sources.
  • Maintains and updates The CORE Institute’s physician and patient referral programs such as the CORE Refer Information, CORE Referral Manager, and Salesforce data base. Works with the Vice President, Contact Center when necessary.
  • Effectively works with contact center to ensure smooth receipt and scheduling of physician referred patients.
  • Assists in the development and execution of internal and external special events.
  • Assists in the development and execution of The CORE Institute physician lecture program to enhance community education and foster positive relations between The CORE Institute and the greater community.
  • Maintains and adheres to a marketing/physician relations budget for the calendar year.
  • Promotes the organization among members of the medical community in order to establish partnerships and affiliations, as well as consistent referral patterns.
  • Meets or exceeds physician relations, department, and organizational goals.
