About The Position

A Physician Liaison serves as the primary connection between a healthcare organization and community physicians. This role focuses on strengthening referral relationships, improving communication, and supporting the organization’s growth by increasing patient volumes and enhancing provider engagement.

Requirements

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, specialists, and medical office staff to foster trust and collaboration.
  • Meet regularly with community providers to promote the organization’s services and gather feedback.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between referring physicians and the healthcare facility to ensure clear communication and positive provider experiences.
  • Implement strategic referral marketing plans to increase patient referrals and support organizational growth.
  • Coordinate referral processes to streamline care transitions and reduce referral leakage.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support development of clinical programs and services.
  • Present updates on new services, technologies, and programs to community providers.
  • Conduct outreach visits, deliver promotional materials, and participate in community engagement efforts to enhance brand recognition.
  • Coordinate physician-related events, educational sessions, and professional gatherings.
  • Track referral patterns, analyze market trends, and report insights to leadership to guide strategic planning.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide data-driven recommendations to support growth initiatives.
  • Address physician concerns, escalate issues appropriately, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Assist with administrative needs such as scheduling, referrals, and resource coordination to enhance provider satisfaction.
