About The Position

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute seek an interventional cardiologist to practice general and interventional cardiology based at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, internal medicine residents and cardiology fellows. Opportunities also exist in clinical research. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed an internal medicine residency program.
  • Completed a general cardiology fellowship program.
  • Completed an interventional fellowship program.
  • Board certified / eligible in interventional cardiology.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice general and interventional cardiology.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, internal medicine residents and cardiology fellows.
  • Engage in clinical research opportunities.
  • Provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia, as needed, which may involve travel.
