Physician - Interventional Cardiology
About The Position
The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute are seeking an interventional cardiologist to practice general and interventional cardiology based at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. The role involves providing excellent patient care, actively teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows. Opportunities for clinical research are also available. Depending on operational needs, the successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, requiring anticipated travel.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
- Eligible for state medical license.
- Completed a general cardiology fellowship program.
- Completed an interventional fellowship program.
- Board certified / eligible in interventional cardiology.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
- Practice general and interventional cardiology.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Actively teach medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows.
- Engage in clinical research opportunities.
- Fulfill duties at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, which may involve travel.
