About The Position

Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC Interventional Cardiologist to join their Cardiovascular Services team at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating cardiac disease states in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include managing patients across three hospital campuses and seeing patients at multiple clinic sites in the Central Illinois Region. The position also involves reading nuclear stress tests at two hospitals and participating in a TAVR program and Valve Clinic. The physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists, other specialists, and cardiology colleagues, to provide comprehensive patient care. The practice is supported by RNs, MOAs, and 15 Advanced Practice Providers.

First in the region to perform the TCAR procedure and establish a CTO program
Medical Director currently involved in 12 Cardiology research studies

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose and treat cardiac disease states in both an inpatient and outpatient setting
Valve Clinic and TAVR program Watchman
Inpatient management at 3 Hospital campuses
Outpatient Clinic responsibilities at s clinic sites in the Central Illinois Region
Nuclear stress tests at two hospitals
Collaborate with the Hospitalist team, other specialists, and cardiology colleagues for a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
Reading Echo at many of our outlying facilities
Monitoring and EKGs at all of seven local Cardiovascular clinics and three hospitals
