About The Position

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine) to join their St. Lawrence Region team. The position is located at Canton Family Practice in Canton, NY, and involves an outpatient clinic setting with a Monday-Friday schedule, 40 hours per week, and continuity of care call requirements. The role utilizes Epic EMR and offers opportunities for mentorship and program development.

Requirements

• DO or MD degree.
• Physician - NYS Office of Professions license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of completing residency.
• Experience with Epic EMR.
• Moderate clinical roles require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning.
• Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments.
• High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns.
• Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus.
• Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation.
• TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.
