About The Position

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking an Internal Medicine physician. This role offers an opportunity to work with one of the nation’s leading health care organizations across its 40+ locations in Houston. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic with over 900 medical providers in 65 medical specialties, nationally recognized for delivering coordinated and accountable care. Internal Medicine physicians examine adult patients 18 years and older, focusing on proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of various medical conditions. They order medically necessary tests, perform follow-up visits, and place referrals to specialists. The clinic provides full access to sub-specialists, imaging, lab services, and patient education within the Kelsey-Seybold system. Physicians interpret basic medical tests and imaging for patient care and utilize EPIC electronic health record for collaboration. Requirements

Graduate of an approved training program in the United States
Licensed in the State of Texas
Board Certified or Board Eligible

Responsibilities

Examine adult patients 18 years and older to ensure proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of various medical conditions
Order medically necessary tests
Perform follow-up visits
Place referrals to specialists when needed
Interpret basic medical tests and imaging in planning care for patients
See patients in office from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday
Take periodic hospital call admitting only Kelsey-Seybold patients
