About The Position

City of Hope Medical Group seeks an Infectious Disease Physician to provide services for our Irvine campus, joining our two full-time Infectious Disease faculty members at a rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute. We seek to hire a full-time clinical faculty member at the Assistant-Associate Professor level who is mission minded and will provide exceptional patient centered care. We want our employees to enjoy all aspects of their professional and personal lives. Recognizing the value in diverse perspectives, we have programs that leverage engagement by bringing our professional community together. In the same way we view patient care from a broad perspective, City of Hope encourages its employees, too, to enhance their view, by increasing their knowledge continually. Here at City of Hope, you will find great opportunities to provide fulfilling service, and to enjoy workplace satisfaction. The Irvine campus is part of City of Hope Orange County, which is transforming cancer care for generations. As an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, City of Hope achieves exceptional outcomes difficult to obtain elsewhere. Our cancer center offers access to experts with unparalleled expertise in breast, prostate, lung, blood, gastrointestinal and gynecological cancers, and more. In 2025, City of Hope opened Orange County’s only specialty cancer hospital. This six-story hospital is seamlessly connected to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center. With the newly opened hospital – City of Hope’s second academic hospital in California – we are fulfilling our promise to Orange County and completing the continuum of care for people with cancer. The spectacular capstone to our 11-acre City of Hope Orange County campus is the largest new construction dedicated to cancer care in the Western United States. Where other hospitals must serve the full spectrum of health conditions in our community, every team member at this specialty cancer hospital—from the nurses to nutritionists to physicians – will have a core focus on oncology.
