Visas Accepted N/A Specialty Internal Medicine - Hospitalist Practice Details Marshfield Medical Center – Minocqua seeks a full-time Hospital Medicine physician that is BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine to join our Hospital Medicine department in Minocqua, Wisconsin. The scope of patients on the Hospitalist Service is broad-ranging and includes medical consultation for surgical and non-surgical subspecialty patients with an average daily census of 8-10 patients. - Schedule is 12-hour shifts of both 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am - Approximately 14 shifts a month, this is not a standard 7 on 7 off role - MMC – Minocqua is a Trauma Level 4 medical campus with a 31-bed, full-service hospital - 6 bed Open ICU - Access to over 25 specialties onsite - Performing procedures is not a requirement We strongly encourage our physicians to be involved in medical education and research to continue building our strong foundation of patient care, research and education for years to come. Lakeland area population is approximately 10,000. Fun Fact: Minocqua is home to a 30' tall snowman in the winter called "Snowmy Kromer" due to the Stormy Kromer that is placed on top of his head! Job Description The Adult Hospitalist Physician provides comprehensive, inpatient care for adult patients in a hospital setting. This role focuses on the management of acute and chronic medical conditions, coordination of care with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes throughout hospitalization.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree.
• Successful completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Current medical license in each state of practice.
• State Controlled Substance License (if required by State)
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine; or Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine; or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada).
