About The Position

Franciscan Health Dyer/Munster is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist to join their growing and well-respected Hospitalist Program. This is a cohesive team with a great culture of teamwork, and the program has been established for over 22 years. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, a desire to build strong community ties, and a commitment to collaborative patient care.

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Desire to develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with patients and their families.
• ACLS/BLS required.
• Willingness to learn central lines and intubations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hospitalist program.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.
• Respond to code blue and rapid response teams.
• Perform procedures or be willing to learn central lines and intubations.
• Manage patients in a limited ICU setting, with admissions requiring Pulmonary/Critical Care Consult.
