About The Position

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport & LSU Health Sciences Center – Shreveport are seeking a Fellowship - Trained Orthopedic Surgeon in the Department of Orthopedics. This position would be for an Assistant or Associate Professor. The role combines teaching and patient care, emphasizing guidance to medical students and residents. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center – ACS verified, with over 3000 orthopedic cases per year. The department includes 17 Faculty Members (Spine, Trauma, Sports Medicine, Hand, General), 20 Residents, and 9 APPs. Programs include collaboration with Shriners Hospital for Children & Overton Brooks Veteran Administration Medical Center, and there are high existing patient volumes. The team is collegial and multidisciplinary.

Requirements

• Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Surgeon
• Eligible for active Louisiana licensure
• BC/BE (Board Certified/Board Eligible)

Responsibilities
