About The Position

HSHS Medical Group is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join and help expand our established GI team in Decatur, Illinois. This location is able to support both J-1 and H-1B visa candidates. HSHS Medical Group is a multispecialty medical group made up of over 350 providers across 60 clinics throughout central and southern Illinois inclusive of a robust primary care referral base supporting our GI practices. Requirements

Unrestricted Illinois license and DEA prior to start
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
M.D., D.O., or MBBS
Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required.
Licensed physician in the state of practice is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty.
Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.
Must be board certified or board eligible.

Responsibilities

7 days per month of call & inpatient rounds while on call
Minimal after hours clinic call
