About The Position

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a well-established, collaborative gastroenterology team serving a growing community in New York's Finger Lakes region. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New York
  • Proficiency performing upper endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
  • Manage both acute and chronic digestive diseases
  • Perform upper endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy procedures
  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures
  • Provide procedural care in both the ambulatory surgery center and hospital setting
  • Consult with primary care providers and referring physicians
  • Coordinate care with surgeons and other medical specialists
  • Review patient histories, diagnostic testing, and imaging to guide treatment decisions
  • Maintain accurate medical records and procedural documentation
  • Adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines and quality standards
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
