About The Position
Riverside Medical Group is seeking a full-time Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon to join their established trauma service at Riverside Regional Medical Center, the regional hub for Riverside Health. As a provider with Riverside Health Medical Group, you would join a team of providers who are respected leaders and part of a collaborative care delivery team. Requirements
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Successful completion of residency and fellowship
- Board Certified in General Surgery
- Fellowship trained in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care
- Eligible for an unrestricted Virginia medical license
- No history of license revocation, restriction, or suspension
- Virginia Physician License (MD/DO)
- Valid, unrestricted DEA
- Commitment to safety and quality

Responsibilities
- Trauma
- Surgical Critical Care
- Emergency General Surgery
- Supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
- Teaching opportunities with General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Emergency Medicine residents
- Participation in TQIP and NSQIP
- Participation in Strong Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program
