About The Position

This community health center, established in 1999, operates 2 clinic locations and additional service centers in Grand Junction, Colorado. They are seeking a new physician due to growth. The physician will provide comprehensive primary care medical services for an under-served patient demographic of all ages, focusing on general and preventive care, excluding OB services. Physicians will see an average of 17 to 19 patients per day with support from dedicated clinical assistants and on-site behavioral health and dental providers. The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.

Requirements

• Colorado medical license
• DEA
• Board Certified or Eligible, Family Medicine
• Broad skill set with outpatient primary care procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care to patients of all ages.
• Provide preventive care.
• Perform office-based procedures.
• Manage chronic health problems.
• Act as medical provider for complex cases to support APP staff.
• Delegate patients appropriately to APP staff.
• Perform or request special screenings/developmental tests and interpret results.
• Make referrals to other physicians and allied healthcare professionals as needed.
