About The Position

Corewell Health Family Medicine - Berrien Springs is seeking a compassionate, full-time physician to join their dedicated team of providers. This employed position is open to new graduates and focuses on building long-term relationships with patients and families. The role involves seeing patients for a variety of appointments including acute visits, follow-ups, physical exams, new patients, pediatric care, and typical primary care procedures. The practice utilizes advanced technology such as Abridge (generative AI for clinical conversations) and has Inboxologist services to manage provider inboxes, allowing physicians to focus on patient care. This position also qualifies for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program.

Requirements

  • Doctorate
  • LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required OR LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • LIC_Controlled Substance (CS) - STATE_MI State of MI Upon Hire Required
  • CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency dictation available

Responsibilities

  • Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
  • Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
  • Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
  • Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
  • Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
  • Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.
  • Acts as a patient/family advocate.
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
  • Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
