About The Position
West Virginia University School of Medicine – Eastern Division Department of Family Medicine is seeking a Family Medicine Physician. The successful candidate will practice in Winchester, VA, providing excellent patient care and actively teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia offers a rural atmosphere, a lower cost of living, and easy accessibility to Washington D.C. and Baltimore, MD, making it an ideal place to live. The West Virginia University Health System is the state's largest health system and largest employer, comprising 18 hospitals and providing management services for other local hospitals. The system has expanded significantly in specialty and sub-specialty care and operates West Virginia’s first and only multi-organ transplant center, along with a new Children’s Hospital.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
- Eligible for state medical license.
- Completed Family Medicine residency program.
- Board certified / eligible in Family Medicine.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
- Practice in the areas of Family Medicine.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
