Physician - Family Medicine - Outpatient Only
About The Position
The West Virginia University School of Medicine - Eastern Division seeks a Family Medicine Physician for an Outpatient Only Position. The successful candidate will practice in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Berkeley and Jefferson Counties are located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, offering a rural atmosphere, a lower cost of living, and easy accessibility to Washington D.C. and Baltimore, MD. The WVU Health System is the state's largest health system, comprising 18 hospitals and employing nearly 30,000 people.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
- State medical license required by start date.
- DEA registration required by start date.
- Completed a Family Medicine residency program.
- Board certified / eligible in Family Medicine.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.
Responsibilities
- Practice in the areas of Family Medicine.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
