About The Position

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport are currently seeking an Epilepsy/Neurophysiology-EEG Specialist to join their outstanding Academic Neurology department and Level 4 NAEC-accredited Epilepsy Center. The role involves delivering high-quality clinical care, educating medical students and neurology residents, participating in departmental activities, and mentoring faculty and residents. Leadership opportunities are available for qualified candidates. The department is an Academic Medical department with the largest concentration of Subspecialty Neurologists in the Ark-La-Tex region, featuring a Level 4 National Association of Epilepsy Centers-accredited Epilepsy Center with 5 adult EMU beds and multi-disciplinary care. Collaborations exist with the School of Medicine Faculty, Graduate School, and Allied Health.

Requirements

  • Must be BC/BE
  • Must be eligible for a Louisiana license.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality clinical care to patients with neurological conditions.
  • Medical student and Neurology resident education, including supervision in clinics, grand rounds, Epilepsy conferences and didactic.

  • Mentoring and providing clinical expertise to faculty and residents.
