About The Position

Join Doane University’s Academic Success Center, where you can connect, collaborate, and elevate the student experience! As an Academic Support Specialist (Reading/Writing Emphasis), you will support student success with academic counseling and skills coaching for any Doane University student across campuses. This position will teach courses on the Crete campus in reading/writing for no more than three classes per semester in the fall, and no more than 2 in the spring, depending on enrollment; assist with the Tiger Mentoring program ( TPM ) for all International and non- TRIO students who enroll; collaborate with the Academic Support Coordinator and the Executive Director of Academic Support Services on administrative duties for the TPM and Peer Tutoring program; collaborate with Advising and Community and Government Relations to meet the needs of International Students; collaborate with the ASC team to send out information on resources and events to the Doane community. Any other duties assigned by the Executive Director of Academic Support Services. This position will serve Doane students across all areas, with offices in Crete and at the Lincoln Fred Brown Center. Responsibilities

  • Support student success with academic counseling and skills coaching for any Doane University student across campuses.
