PHYSICIAN - Endocrinology - Duluth, MN
About The Position
We are looking for a patient-centered Endocrinologist to join our team. This is a great position for work/life balance. Inpatient coverage is available at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center or Essentia Health-Duluth. Call is in effect for providers during office business hours only and triaged through our RN team first. An NP/PA team covers all hospital glucose management. The role requires the capability to apply and analyze latest diabetes related devices including pumps, sensors, and meters. Primarily outpatient practice: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Some outreach is possible. There is no evening, weekend, or holiday call. Patient volume per day is 10-15.
Requirements
- BC/BE in Endocrinology, or BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with a strong interest in Diabetes care.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care as an Endocrinologist.
- Manage inpatient coverage at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center or Essentia Health-Duluth.
- Handle call during office business hours, triaged through an RN team.
- Utilize an NP/PA team for hospital glucose management.
- Apply and analyze latest diabetes related devices including pumps, sensors, and meters.
- Conduct primarily outpatient practice.
- Perform outreach as needed.
