About The Position
Children’s Nebraska, in partnership with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, is seeking BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians who are fellowship trained. This role offers opportunities for academic and research pursuits. The Emergency Department is a 33-bed facility with a flexible, pod-based design, equipped to handle complex trauma, behavioral health, highly contagious diseases, and immunocompromised patients. Children’s is recognized as an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center, serving a diverse patient population with a wide range of illnesses and injuries. Children’s Nebraska, established in 1948, is a 225-bed nonprofit pediatric specialty health center serving a five-state region. It is the only facility of its kind in Nebraska, offering expertise in over 50 pediatric specialty services. The organization is committed to exceptional care, advocacy, research, and education. The state-of-the-art Hubbard Center for Children houses Nebraska’s only Level IV regional Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Fetal Care Center, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and a regional Cardiac Care Unit. The Child Health Research Institute, a collaboration between UNMC and Children’s Nebraska, was founded in 2017 to foster pediatric health research, consolidate research efforts, and advance knowledge in childhood health and diseases, providing support for clinical, basic science, and translational research. The organization's mission extends beyond medical care to improving the health and safety of communities and empowering families. Requirements
- BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians.
- Fellowship trained in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex trauma patients.
