The role involves providing care in an Emergency Medicine setting at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Certified Emergency Medicine physicians.
• Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians with a PEDS EM Fellowship will be considered.
• Current IL state license is a plus.
• Visa Candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in the Emergency Medicine setting.
• Collaborate with Vituity-staffed hospitalists and intensivists for integrated care solutions.
• Work within a 457-bed tertiary care hospital with a children's hospital, including a 31-bed main ED and 3 trauma bays.
• Respond to trauma cases as a Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
• Handle STEMI Receiving Center, interventional stroke, and cardiac cases.
• Utilize the availability of core subspecialties (excluding transplant).
• Work with site resources including PEDS EM physician coverage, Behavioral Health response team, and in-house trauma service/ICU.
