About The Position
Geisinger is expanding its Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine teams in Northeast Pennsylvania and is seeking passionate physicians. This role involves practicing emergency medicine, with a focus on infants and children, within a high-acuity clinical environment. The position offers opportunities for academic appointments, teaching, leadership, quality improvement, and research. Geisinger utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system and has collaborative multidisciplinary teams. The facility boasts a robust EMS network, Level I Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Centers, and an expanding Pediatric Emergency Medicine program with strong pediatric specialty support.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
- Patient Care And Procedural Skills
- Professional Etiquette
- Systems-Based Practice

Responsibilities
- Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.
- Performs and/or interprets diagnostic tests as needed.
- Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.
- May prescribe or administer medications.
- Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
