About The Position
We are seeking a physician to cover a few weekends a year for 63.5-hour shifts, starting Friday 4:30 PM and ending Monday 8:00 AM. The department sees an average of 8-15 patients per weekend. Family Medicine physicians in Ada cover the Emergency Medicine department. This is a collegial, team-oriented department that utilizes EPIC DAX ambient voice for clinical documentation. Essentia Health – Ada is a Level IV Trauma Center, a 14-bed Critical Access hospital, and a physician-led organization.
Requirements
- BC/BE Emergency Medicine or BC/BE Family Medicine with experience (or additional training in EM)
- ACLS, ATLS/CALS, PALS Certification
Responsibilities
- Covering Emergency Medicine department shifts on weekends.
- Managing an average of 8-15 patients per weekend.
- Utilizing EPIC DAX ambient voice for clinical documentation.
