About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Dermatologist to join its Dermatology practice in East Grand Forks, MN. This is a busy, well-established practice located in a newly, beautifully designed clinic. The current staff includes a board-certified dermatologist and a nurse practitioner. A full range of dermatologic services is available. The position offers the opportunity to live and work in a unique Minnesota community just minutes from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. The community is characterized by small-town friendliness, an excellent school system, and a Technical & Community College.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Completion of a hospital-affiliated residency in Dermatology of at least 4 years’ duration (transitional year + 3 years’ dermatology residency) accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
  • Demonstrate active involvement in at least 100 Dermatology procedures in the last 24 months.
  • If a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges, documentation of the applicant’s clinical activity for the past 24 months is required. The applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement in at least 100 Dermatology cases in the last 24 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than ACGME, AOA or Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada may be considered by the Credentials Committee; Medical Executive or Medical Affairs Committee; and the Board of Directors or the Board of Governors.
